About Ms. Ryberg
My name is Ms. Ryberg and I teach 3rd grade at Highwood. I taught 2nd grade last year at Highwood and before worked in education in a variety of roles with a wide range of grades. I love instilling a love of learning in my students so they become lifelong learners. Seeing that spark, that smile, and sense of pride a student feels when he or she accomplishes a difficult task or learns a new skill is an amazing thing. I love Highwood because it is such a great diverse place to learn and grow.
Let me share a little about myself with you. I was born and raised in Minnesota. In 2017, I received my Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Hamline University. I have a 5 year old daughter who will be starting kindergarten this fall.
During distance learning my students will receive the following homework assignments each week: Math (including a math review), reading, writing, phonics and social emotional. When we return in person, students will have nightly reading and may occasionally have math homework. I communicate with families by sending messages through Seesaw, email and phone.
