Highwood Hills Pre-K Teacher Presents at AAUP National Convention

Highwood Hills teacher Michou Tchoffo presented at the 2026 American Association of University Professors (AAUP) National Convention in Chicago last month, putting our school and district on the map for humanitarian services to our students and families!

Ms. Tchoffo, who teaches Pre-K, is a passionate advocate for immigrant families. She was honored to speak alongside other renowned speakers at the AAUP Convention on June 12. “This presentation was a response to the public understanding of how educators go above and beyond the call of duty to show courage, compassion and leadership in times of a dire need," she said.

She also credits the Saint Paul Federation of Educators, other allies, and the Twin Cities community for supporting students and families through Operation Metro Surge. Ms. Tchoffo engaged the audience and was able to inspire a very strong emotional bond with a very captive audience!
